It's been quite a journey to international sex symbol. Born in Athens, Georgia, on 8 December 1953, Kim was painfully shy as a child. Her parents got her to study ballet to help overcome her shyness. It worked. By her teens, she was confident enough to enter beauty pageants. The Ford Model Agency spotted her and by age 20, 34-24-35 Kim was a top model, appearing on countless magazine covers.
She began studying acting and moved to Los Angeles in 1976. She won some TV roles, but her big break came when she was cast as a Bond girl opposite Sean Connery in Never Say Never Again.
