Oscar-winning actress Nicole Kidman has dual citizenship of both Australia and the United States. Although most people think of her as Australian, she was actually born in Honolulu, Hawaii, on 20 June 1967, where her Australian father was a graduate student at the University Of Hawaii. Her Aussie mum was also studying on an educational visa there. The family didn't return to Australia until Nicole was four. Although a shy kid, she had her heart set on an acting career since school days. She studied at the Australian Theatre For Young People and made her film debut in Aussie-made movie Bush Christmas at age 16.
