Australian star Abbie Cornish has achieved rising success in Hollywood, at the same time as continuing, particularly in her native OZz, as a rapper under the name Dusk. Born in Lochinvar, New South Wales, on 7 August 1982, Abbir began modelling in her teens and quickly moved on to acting, winning the Australian Film Institute Young Actor's Award for her role in the ABC television show Wildside at age 17. Movie directors soon came calling, leading to her debut in The Monkey's Mask. Her lead performance in the sexy 2004 film Somersault netted her a whole string of awards. Critical acclaim came opposite Heath Ledger in Candy also. More mainstream and bigger roles have come for her in movies such as Bright Star, Sucker Punch, A Good Year, Elizabeth: The Golden Age, Limitless, Stop-Loss, Robocop and Seven Psychopaths. Despite growing up on a farm, Abbey is a vegetarian and outspoken animal rights advocate. She has been rapping since 2000 and appeared on an Australian tour with Nas in 2014. Luckily for fans, Abbie has not been afraid to bare skin for her art!
