Petite popstar and actress Kylie Minogue is probably as near as it gets to Australian royalty. Born in Melbourne on 28 May 1968, she started acting young and hit it big, starring as teen Charlene in the Aussie soap opera Neighbours. The show became much more of a hit in the UK than her native Oz and made Kylie a household name. The popstar career which followed came by chance when a music exec heard her rendition of The Loco-Motion. The rest is history, as they say.

Kylie is the firstt and only female recording artist in UK chart history to have a number one album in four consecutive decades, starting from the 1980s. Seven UK number ones have helped her become the biggest selling Australian artist of all time. More recently, she has achieved popularity as a judge on The Voice in the UK. The sugar sweet Kylie of the 1980s has long since been replaced by a much raunchier all woman Ms. Minogue. Acting nudity has been rare but Kylie's pert figure remains a favourite target for the paparazzi.
