Kathleen was born in Hamilton, Ontario, on 8 July 1973. Studying to act since she was ten, Kathleen's first big break came on the Canadian sitcom Maniac Mansion, in which she starred from 1990 to 1993 as the eldest of three children of Dr. Fred Edison. The role won her award nominations and a string of small TV and movie parts in the States, before her big 1994 breakthrough in to Beverly Hills, 90210. She was a series regular for four seasons.
Kathleen has also appeared in over 35 movies including Scary Movie 2, Nowhere, Beautiful, Dog Park, Splendor and XX/XY. Television remains her most successful medium, however. From 2011 to 2012, Kathleen played Kitty O'Neill alongside Kelsey Grammer in the Starz political drama series Boss. She also did two season as the lead in the Canadian comedy series The Business. Most recently she has taken leading roles as homicide detective Hildy Mulligan in the TNT series Murder In The First.and as Jodi Morgan in the A&E hit Bates Motel.
