She was born as Beatrice Cabarrou in Brest, France, on 19 December 1964. Betty has starred in many movies since her amazing debut, including Hollywood made productions like Night On Earth and Blackout. But none have had quite the same impact as Betty Blue. Her real life has been no less frenetic than Betty's.
Frequent run-ins with the law have seen her arrested for stealing jewelry, fined for assaulting a meter maid, destroy a €12,000 haute couture dress she was modelling and be denied a work permit to play Bruce Willis's wife in The Sixth Sense because of a previous cocaine possession conviction. Her first husband was artist Jean-François Dalle. She met her second husband Guénaël Méziani, who was serving a 12 year sentence for assault and rape of an ex-girlfriend, while she was making a film about prison life in Brest.
