Milla was born in Kiev, Ukraine's capital, on 17 December 1975, the daughter of a Serb pediatrician and a Russian actress. Her family moved to London when she was just 5, then later to the USA. Milla initially found fame as a model, winning her first major cover at age 12. Countless others followed. Acting was always her ambition. She has starred as Joan Of Arc and as Charlie Chaplin's wife. But it's her role as Alice, the zombie fighting kickass heroine of the Resident Evil movie franchise, that she is probably best-known. She has starred in no less than five Resident Evil movies, which have left critics cold but delighted audiences all over the world. Milla has also dabbled as a singer and fashion designer.
