She took the name which made her famous in homage to the Queen song Radio Gaga. Sellout worldwide concert tours and a string of huge hits like Poker Face, Alejandro and Telephone - which she originally wrote for Britney Spears - have made her tens of millions of dollars.
Lady Gaga was originally employed by Sony/ATV records to write songs for Britney Spears and labelmates New Kids On The Block, Fergie, and the Pussycat Dolls before her own performing career took off. She has become as famous for her outrageous fashion statements and reinventing of herself as her music. More recently, she has also turned to acting, winning parts in movies like Machete Kills and Sin City: A Dame To Kill.
