Born Connie Inge-Lise Nielsen at Frederikshavn, Denmark, on 3 July 1965, she is fluent in 8 languages. Connie starred in a variety of European films and lived in Italy for several years, before moving to Hollywood. She has focused almost exclusively on English language movies since moving to the US in the 1990s. Some of her other most famous credits include Nymphomaniac, Mission To Mars, One Hour Photo, A Shine Of Rainbows, Rushmore, The Hunted and Basic. She did manage to shoot her first Danish film Brødre for which she won a national best actress award. Some successful TV roles have also come her way in the likes of the Starz TV series Boss and The Following. Still landing prominent roles on the silver screen, 2017 will see her star as Queen Hippolyta in the film Wonder Woman.
